STORY:

3 Idiots is a 2009 Indian Hindi-language coming-of-age comedy-drama film directed by Rajkumar Hirani, with a screenplay by Abhijat Joshi, and produced by Vidhu Vinod Chopra. The film stars Aamir Khan, R. Madhavan, Sharman Joshi, Kareena Kapoor, Boman Irani, and Omi Vaidya in the lead roles.

The story follows three engineering college students: Farhan, Raju and Rancho, who are best friends and have a passion for learning. They all attend an engineering college in India where they are taught to think like machines and conform to the strict system of education. Farhan and Raju, who are struggling to pass the college, are in awe of Rancho, who is a genius and always comes up with unconventional solutions to problems.

One day, Rancho disappears without a trace and Farhan and Raju set out on a journey to find him. They discover that Rancho had left college because he was disillusioned with the system of education and decided to follow his own path. Farhan and Raju also realize that they too, have been stifled by the education system and decide to make a change in their lives.

As they travel through India, they come across various individuals who have been affected by the education system, including a teacher who had been fired for encouraging free thinking, and a student who had committed suicide because of the pressure to succeed. Through their journey, Farhan and Raju learn that education should be about finding one's passion and not just about getting good grades and getting a good job.

In the end, Farhan and Raju find Rancho, who is now running a school for underprivileged children, and they join him in his mission to change the education system. The movie ends with the three friends reunited and the message that "education should be about finding one's passion and not just about getting good grades and getting a good job.
